The Mediterranean Pyrenees are one of France's best kept secrets. They consist of three very beautiful and wildly contrasting regions: the Cathar Pyrenees, the Catalan Pyrenees and the Upper Ariege Valley. There are good Aude, Pyrenees Orientales and Ariege web sites but I know of no other web site which offers an integrated visual and textual treatment of the Mediterranean Pyrenees.  This site will take you on a multitude of journeys from Axat, a natural route centre of the Mediterranean Pyrenees.
